Match manager responsibilities;
• Be a welcoming host to the touring team
• Before the match starts, ensure that the appropriate green fee has been paid, match balls are
organised, and scorers/umpires are in place
• Liaise with the ground staff and opposition captain in the event of bad weather and make and
communicate decision re call offs or delayed starts
• Host any post-match drinks in the bar and lock up once everyone has left.
• If you are not the last to leave, delegate bar and lock-up responsibility clearly to another responsible
club member
